The Ripple Effect

The Ripple Effect is entering an exciting phase of action based community engagement in partnership with local communities and services to tackle the issues highlighted in the recent community research and we are now looking for more volunteer ACEs (Alcohol and Drug Community Engagers) to be involved in this work.

ACEs are a group of people whose aim is to engage with neighbourhoods across Glasgow to try and find solutions to the damaging effects that alcohol and other substance misuse can have upon our communities.

To help us get word of this fantastic volunteering opportunity out to communities can you please circulate the attached poster as widely as possible via your networks and groups.

If you require further information please contact Jim McSorley, Glasgow Council on Alcohol on 0141 556 6631 or at
